I have now been a wildlife and journey shooter using Rule gear for approximately 25 years now. Through the decades, I purchased the majority lensme of Canon's cropped and full figure cameras and their EF and EF-S lenses. Spring is finally here and many photographers are gearing up to get out with their favorite areas and begin pressing up a storm.
As some of you could know, my choice is traveling mild on photograph shoots and generally hold zoom as opposed to excellent lens. There's an endless discussion on the picture quality of qualified excellent vs. zoom lens but also for my purposes, the difference is with out a variance and I'll let the situation dictates the lens rather than the other way round. The following lenses are a few of my advice, derived from years of experience out in the subject on photo shoots. They are my own opinion and will not support every condition or photographer's needs. My Canon Landscape and Wildlife Contact Advice: Cannon EF 24-105mm f/4L IS - A great value and at all times lens for vacation, landscape and wildlife photography. This contact is always on my EOS-1D X or EOS-1D Mk IV cameras when I take journey or closeup wildlife shots. It gives outstanding built and image quality at an acceptable price. The main plans and rate are perfect for indoor and outside firing problems even though IS presents just a 2 stop advantage. I would love to see Canon bring out a Series II edition with the latest films and a 4 end IS system. Cannon EF 16-35mm f/2.8L II - That contact is great for broad viewpoint landscape shots on complete frame cameras like the 1Ds Mk III or EOS-5D Mk III. Additionally, it acts as a adaptable travel lens on the EOS-1D Mk IV as well. Very sharp and fast. Can be used inside when flash images is prohibited. Adding IS to the contact would have been a wonderful supplement but that could add extra weight. If value is a thought, then I'd suggest the Cannon EF 17-40mm f/4L lens. Brother EF-S 17-55mm f/2.8 IS - This really is the best EF-S lens and should go good with the EOS-7D camera as a general function lens. No cheap lens however the developed and picture quality is high quality and the constant aperture over the move range is ideal for acquiring pictures in low light conditions. Cannon EF 8-15mm f/4L Fisheye - With its unique major length selection, this contact may be the greatest fisheye contact lens on the market. It delivers 180° straight perspective of see pictures for many EOS SLR cameras with imaging models which range from full-frame to APS-C, and provides 180° rounded fisheye photographs for full-frame EOS models. I use this lens to photograph whales and other marine creatures when I'm in the water. To do it appropriately, I use my EOS-1D Mk IV camera with the contact and the AquaTech underwater housing, capped with a dome contact port for maximum position of view. On area, this very wide position contact may catch spectacular character photographs and encourage creativity. Cannon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II - Very sharp and rapidly contact for close-up wildlife activity, providing up to 4 prevents of modification and set aperture at all key lengths. I used that contact for years and the most recent version is the best yet. An excellent lens for closeup, reduced light journey and wildlife images and is effective with both 1.4X and 2.0X extenders. Very solidly built and stands up to heavy duty area use. Brother EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6L IS - I presented down getting that contact for a time because the EF 70-300mm DO was this type of dissatisfaction for me. The excess reach and lighter fat ( compared to the EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II ) with this lens is available in helpful when I am photographing greater wildlife in decent light. Exemplary 4 stop IS compensation. Another good contact for cetacean and wildlife picture shoots. The negatives are extenders can not be utilized on this lens and it doesn't feature a move ring.
